Where has the real journalism gone…?

Journalism means reporting of facts having the elements like accuracy, objectivity
Fairness, responsibility and so in it. But does present journalist follow these elements
While reporting or these elements have merely became words and nothing else.

Do they report the things which are needed to be reported?
· Do they follow the so called the media ethics?
· Do they really serve as the watch dogs of our society?

If these questions would be asked 4 out of 5 will answer no!

What I feel about the journalism in the contemporary world is that it has become more &more of business. I could hardly found the ethical journalism. Especially in the democratic country like India, the real journalism has gone very far from our T.V channels, newspapers, magazines etc.Present media has become a commodity for politicians, filmstars, and bureaucrates and so on.

Who are using our noble journalism for their personal benefits to every extent?

Present media means showing a boy in a bore well for more than 40 hours while suppressing the real news like conflict in Lebanon for Indians, just to earn more money through SMS services and advertisement.

It means showing the stories which will earn more and more T.R.PS .It hardly cares about the stories which common man need in a real sense.Todays media corrupts the common man by continuously hammering the unimportant stories.

The common man is forced to accept the unimportant news as important; it’s only media which makes the stories important which in real senses are of no use to a common man. For instance Ash-Abhishek marriage where every moment was covered by the media right from the guest lists to the final ceremony. Our present media is more interested in knowing, who where the guests? Who was not invited? What Ash is going to wear? What are effects on salman by this marriage?

Do we really need to know this please stop it. Please don’t corrupt our innocent people by your sensational stories.

· if u r running a T.V news channel just to earn more and more TRPS or
· if u r running a newspaper or magazine publishing house in order to earn loads and loads of wealth via advertisement ,obscene pictures, sensational and biased stories rather then having the content which is really needed then please stop it and do find some other means of business.

I hope that the journalism which is rapidly fading out retains meaning and serve truthfully.
